National Museum of Singapore Director awarded knighthood

Lee Chor Lin, Director of the National Museum of Singapore, was made a knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by the Republic of Italy in recognition of her work promoting Italian culture and the arts in Singapore.

The award followed a run of Italian programming at the museum. Among the highlights were FELLINI! A Complete Retrospective in April and May 2010, which screened works including La Dolce Vita, and Pompeii: Life in a Roman Town 79CE, shown from October 2010 to January 2011, on the destruction of the city by Vesuvius.
