CECA Best Practice Award in Museum Education: 2016 Winners

At ICOM's General Conference in Milan (3-9 July), the International Committee for Education and Cultural Action (CECA) announced its 2016 Best Practice Award winners: the National Museum of Singapore (ASEMUS member) for "Singapore's Little Treasures"; Musée d'Orsay, Paris, for "Orsay facile"; Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark, for "Travelling with Art: Learning Program for Refugee Children"; Komitas Museum-Institute, Yerevan, for "Lullabies Singing Workshop"; and the Moto Moto Museum, Zambia, for documenting local languages through church music.

Open only to CECA members, the annual award recognises strong museum education and cultural programmes; a selection of entries will appear in CECA's next "Best Practice" publication. A related guide, "Best practices in museum education and cultural programmes," by Marie-Clarté O'Neill and Colette Dufresne-Tassé, offers a practical planning/evaluation tool.
