Explores Peranakan culture in Southeast Asia from the former Tao Nan Chinese School building (built 1912), holding one of the finest, most comprehensive Peranakan collections across three gallery floors. "Peranakan" (Malay for "locally born") refers to descendants of Chinese and Indian traders who settled in Southeast Asia and married local women.
