Museo De La Salle, Philippines

A lifestyle and decorative-arts museum focused on 19th-century Philippine domestic life, built to support cross-disciplinary academic learning. The building echoes the 19th-century Bahay na Bato ("stone house") style — stone/brick/mortar ground floor, wood upper floor — that marked the lifestyle of Christian Philippine society of the era, typically filled with fine furniture signaling the owner's status.

Permanent collections comprise antique family heirlooms — furniture, decorative objects, fine and applied arts — displayed in faithfully recreated period rooms. Sixteen pieces from the museum feature in the ASEMUS Virtual Collection of Asian Masterpieces, representing Filipino furniture craftsmanship reminiscent of the European Victorian era.
