International Symposium: "The Future of Museums and Participation" | Korea

The National Museum of Korea and ICOM Korea organised this symposium in Seoul on 15 May, opening the Korean Museum Association's 9th General Assembly (15-17 May). International speakers discussed museums' future — convergence with information technology, audience relationships, and the significance of museum architecture.

The event marked the 10th anniversary of the National Museum of Korea's move to its Yongsan, Seoul building (opened 2005). Simultaneous Korean/English/Japanese interpretation was provided; registration was free.
