Vietnamese Women's Museum | Hanoi, Vietnam

Founded in 1987 by the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam within the Viet Nam Women's Union, the museum in Hanoi explores Vietnam's cultural diversity and the contributions of women to the nation's development, culture and society, serving as a repository of cultural and historical knowledge about Vietnamese women across the country's 54 ethnic groups. It also functions as a centre for cultural exchange with women from other nations in pursuit of "equality, development and peace."

Permanent galleries cover three themes: Women in Family, Women in History, and Women's Fashion, featuring historical and contemporary objects reflecting Vietnamese women's lives and roles in society.

Collection size: 25,000 objects.
