7th ASEMUS General Conference | India - Registration open!

Hosted by the National Museum of India in New Delhi, 15-17 March 2017, supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), expecting about 150 professionals from ASEMUS's 140+ member museums across 41 countries.

Registration opened to Indian regional museums, ASEMUS members and other interested professionals, closing 28 February 2017 for Indian participants. Central themes: digitisation in museums, accessibility (including for people with disabilities), museums' social role in urban regeneration, and promoting regional heritage. Programme: young-professional training workshops on 15 March, three plenary sessions on 16 March covering these themes, and cultural site visits around New Delhi on 17 March. ASEMUS Chair Fionnuala Croke, Vice-Chair Kennie Ting, and Secretariat Coordinator David Henkel (Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore) promoted the event via video.
